WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You will find a wide variety of dress at Westminster, from suit and tie, to jeans and a t-shirt. You will typically find most people in “business casual” dress on a Sunday morning, with more casual attire in the evening, but please come as you are. Worship on Sunday evening is less formal but not substantially different in style. As always, our goal is to lift up the glory of God and to preach and apply His Word to our lives.

How Do We Worship?

Our worship emphasizes historic Christianity and is largely traditional in style. We follow a printed bulletin and recite the Lord’s Prayer and historic creeds (like the Apostles’ Creed). Our singing emphasizes the rich body of Christian hymnody while incorporating new hymns and songs for worship. Our preaching is expository, and the preaching of God’s Word is at the center of all we do.

What is available for Children and Youth?

Children’s Ministry of Westminster Presbyterian Church exists in partnership with parents to develop disciples of Jesus Christ by proclaiming God’s glory to the next generation.

Children are welcome to attend with parents during 8 & 11 am Sunday service.
Children’s Sunday School is at 9:30 am.

What is the gospel

The gospel is the good news that Jesus Christ has come to save us from our sins. It is the best news the world has ever heard! If the gospel does not sound like good news to you, perhaps you have never heard it explained clearly. This video can give you a brief explanation, or we invite you to contact a pastor here if you have questions. But either way, we encourage you to join us to hear more about the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ!

Visit our Connections Class

Held the first and second Sundays of each month at 9:30-10:30 am. “Connections” is located in our Library opposite the Sanctuary in our Gathering Space. Designed to be a path to friendship and church life, this two-week informal session is offered for visitors and those who desire an informative introduction to the life and ministry of Westminster Church—without obligation. Hear a brief presentation of what we believe, our purpose and mission. Learn about our various classes and activities, and receive a ministry tour of the facility. Plan to attend!

Becoming a Member

Westminster Presbyterian Church believes that becoming a member of a local church is the biblical pattern for all believers. If you attend Westminster for worship, we encourage you to consider becoming a member. Membership requires attendance at a 10-week class offered twice a year in the spring and fall. The class affords you the opportunity to understand who we are and what we believe the Bible teaches before taking membership vows. Membership is an expression of your commitment, grants you the opportunity to serve in various roles at the church, and allows you to vote at congregational meetings.
