Serving those around us

Ways to Serve Wpc Refugee Families

Many refugee families call Westminster their home church. We need your help as we seek to serve these families as they assimilate to America and enfold them with love into our congregation.

Rides for Refugee Families

We need help to transport newly arriving refugees to Sunday morning worship at Westminster. If you are able to serve as a driver in this way, please contact Josie Brown

Sunday Morning ESL & Literacy Classes

During Sunday School, we hold English classes for our WPC family. Please contact Jen Barrall to serve as a teacher or classroom helper.

English classes for the public are offered on Tuesday evenings. Find out more here.

Gift Cards

With many newly arrived familieswe have a significant need for gift cards from Walmart and Target. We use these to buy essentials that our families do not receive from the resettlement agencies. The gift cards can be left in the church office.

Tutoring

Westminster provides after-school tutoring on Wednesdays during the school year for Congolese elementary and middle school students of WPC. We also host special events for tutored children during the summer months. Please contact Penny Clawson to serve as a tutor.

Contact Jim O’Connor to see how you can be a part of this ministry.
