Jean Malumalu

Congregational Care Associate

We are very happy to say Karibu! (Welcome!), to Jean Malumalu as our new Congregational Care Associate. Jean’s responsibility will be to assist Ruling Elders Jim O’Connor and John Mwaura in visitation and service to the 60 families in our Swahili ministry. Jean was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and fled the Congo as a young child with his family to Tanzania as refugees. He finished high school in the Nyragusu refugee camp and started college but he was unable to finish as he came to Lancaster as a refugee in August 2019. He is hoping to become a U.S. citizen very soon and is eager to continue his education. He and his wife Eliza were married at Westminster and have two young sons, Malu and Donat. Jean loves to sing and spend time with his family. He has a heart for serving in the church and teaching people from the Word of God. He is very happy to be part of our church. Bwana asifiwe! (Praise the Lord!).
