Dr. Barry Cureton

Associate Pastor of Shepherding Care

Barry grew up in Havertown, PA. He met his wife Margaret in Philadelphia, and they married in 1986. He received his BA in Philosophy from West Chester University, his Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary, his Doctor of Ministry from Covenant Theological Seminary, and his Certificate in Biblical Counseling, Level One from Christian Counseling and Educational Foundation.

Before coming to Westminster, Barry ministered in a variety of ways in youth and family ministry, men’s ministry, leadership training, counseling, visitation, and teaching and preaching.

As Pastor of Shepherding Care, Barry provides spiritual care through visitation, as well as overseeing the Men’s ministry and the Home Fellowship Groups.

As a pastor and Biblical counselor, 2 Cor 1:3-4 is especially meaningful to Pastor Barry: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
